I can't believe I have survived 45 years with this man. I fell in love with a wonderful man who was happy, friendly outgoing, funloving and everything else you could want in a mate. When I met him in Hawaii on R&R he would not make eye contact with me. I was 18, young and didn't know anything. That should have been a warning sign. of things to come. When he came home 6 months later, he drank constantly. I told him if he didn't stop drinking I would leave him. He stopped. Are you starting to get the picture? Thats what life has been for me and PTSD. He does something hurtful to me or the family, I tell him to stop or give him ultimatums, he stops and then it starts all over again.
